Adrien was at first a basketball player. With his club in Geneva, Switzerland, he won one title of Champion Junior in Switzerland.
It was when he arrived on the island that he started squash with a friend on the two existing courts, the Grand Bay Yacht Club and Mr. Currimjee’s. From then, he decided to quit basketball except for corporate matches.
He joined the Squash Federation in 1996-1997 and became President after the promulgation of the Sports Act 1999. He held this position until 2008. The highlights of this presidency was the organization of the World Squash Federation’s World General Assembly in Mauritius in 2004.
He subsequently assumed the position of Secretary to be re-elected President in 2016, a position he still holds. At the same time, he became also Vice-President of the African Squash Federation since 2006, of which he is the only French-speaking representative.
He participated in the various organized tournaments and his best ranking was in the Mauritian top 10. He has also participated as a leader in various competitions both regional (African championships) and world (Commonwealth Games).
